Amazon revealed 3D Fire phone

World’s largest online retailer Amazon intends to acquire Smartphone market now by its first attempt with ‘3D Fire phone’. Amazon finally launched its first and long-awaited smart phone at a packed event in Seattle on June 18, 2014. Although expectations were sky high but Amazon however managed to quench the consumer’s need.


Amazon has introduced a few new features like Firefly, Mayday and 3D effects to compete with Apple’s flagship i-phone and Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S.

“Fire phone puts everything you love about Amazon in the palm of your hand-instant access to Amazon’s vast content ecosystem and exclusive features like Mayday button, ASAP, Second screen, X-Ray, free unlimited photo storage and more” Mr. Bezos, founder of the Amazon said on its launching.

In more formal words, Amazon is just giving consumers an easy access to its online store and surely going to change the way of online shopping. With its new feature called Firefly, you can purchase any product on For example if you have liked a book on a store, just take an image of that and firefly will find out rest for you along with pricing details and where you can buy it. Not only such items you can also search games, songs, movies, TV shows and CDs on Amazon via Firefly. Apart from firefly, this phone incorporates multiple front facing cameras with infrared lights for each one to work in dark also.

Amazon also offers a 12 months membership to its prime service on the purchase of a Fire phone and free shipping on the products if bough from With cloud storage facility, Amazon allows you to take as many pictures as you want without thinking about storage. Coming to design perspective, Fire phone does look good with Gorilla glass3 display and rubber frame around the panel.

The 32GB version will cost you $199 with two year contract while 64GB will cost you $299 with two year contract. We were expecting Firephone cheaper than the iphone and Samsung’s S series but that might be a disappointment however Amazon packs latest along with newly arrived features nicely at its first attempt.
